Mayor Aalbers called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM.

    That Council approve the award of the Lloydminster Airport Signage, Manufacturing, and installation to Onsite Sign Group. of Lloydminster, Alberta, in the amount of $218,330.00, plus GST, to be funded by the Regional Air Transportation Initiative and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign and seal all necessary documents. In addition, that Council approve a 13% contingency amount of $28,382.90.

    That Council affirm and support the appointment of Councillor Torresan by the Alberta Municipalities, to the Alberta Municipalities Infrastructure Committee.

    That Council approve the grant allocations for the 2022 Lloydminster Tobacco Reduction Grant as follows, and that Council authorize Administration to reallocate any unused or returned grant funds:

    Lloydminster Area Drug Strategy: Partnership to Assist in the Cessation of Tobacco (PACT) and Buyback 2022, $2,900.

    Lloydminster Sexual Assault Services: Behind the Smoke - Lighting Up Coping Skills, $6,000.

    Lloydminster Interval Home Society: Luving My Lungs, $12,000.

    Lloydminster Area Drug Strategy: An Influential Generation & Tobacco Retailers Accountability Course (TRAC), $7,000.

Lloydminster Public Library is now open in the new location.

City is continuing the snow removal, the freezing temperatures have been tough on the equipment and city employees.
